Grace Kong
Grace Wu Kong has been the Director of the Chinese unit at Echelon Care and Rehabilitation Center in Voorhees, New Jersey since 2013. She runs and supervises this specialized unit to ensure the comfort and communication needs of our Chinese residents. She previously worked as Partnership Specialist for the US Census Bureau for the 2010 and 2020 Decennial Census, Education Manager for Health Promotion Council, and Trainer for Bridging the Gap Interpretation Course.
Ms. Kong was born in Hong Kong, and lived and worked in Philadelphia's Chinatown while growing up. She graduated from Holy Redeemer Chinese Catholic School and Hallahan Girls Catholic High School. She holds an Associate's Degree in Clinical Nutrition and Bachelor's in Business Administration from Gwyneth Mercy University.
Ms. Kong currently serves as President of Asian American Women Coalition (AAWC) and has been Commissioner for the Mayor’s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affair Philadelphia since 2016. She is the Co-Founder & past president of the Chinese American Women's Sisterhood Society of Philadelphia (CAWSSP). In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors for PASSi and the Asian Advisory Committee for Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA).
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, trying adventurous new food and exploring nature with her 3 children and grandchildren.
