PECO Scholar: Tanzin FatimaFinishing Number 1 in her class and selected as valedictorian of University City High School would be considered quite an accomplishment. What makes this achievement more remarkable is that Tanzin and her family immigrated to the United States from Bangladesh just two years ago. It was through her self-determination, motivation and a strong desire to excel that she overcame language and cultural barriers. Our 2009 PECO Scholar plans to fulfill her dream of becoming an electrical engineer by attending Drexel University.
