AAWC nominated ImJa for this prestigious award based on her tireless efforts in providing care for the elderly Asian community and community at large by founding PASSi (Penn Asian Senior Services). She was one of 12 outstanding women in Pennsylvania selected this year and recognized by Governor and Mrs. Corbett at an awards luncheon held in Harrisburg at the Governor's Residence on Wednesday, October 15. We were represented at the luncheon by Co-Founder Cecilia Moy Yep, President Gloria Yu and Board Members Grace Kong and Kathy Ngee.
Since its inception in 1948 by then Governor James Duff, nearly 500 women have been recognized. (More information may be found on www.distinguisheddaughtersofpa.org.)
