![]() Hello! WOMEN’S WAY, the leading grantmaking, advocacy, and public education organization for women and girls in the greater Philadelphia region, is doing research this summer on civic engagement among young women in the greater Philadelphia area. This research will be used to help WOMEN’S WAY create new programming for young women like you. If you are a young woman between the ages of 18 and 23, and you live in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia County, we would like you to participate in a survey. The survey will take about 10-15 minutes and can be accessed here. The survey will be available until July 3. Please feel free to send this to other young women ages 18-23 in the Philadelphia area as well- the more participants we have, the more WOMEN’S WAY programming will reflect the needs of young women in our community! By taking this survey, you understand and agree that the data and information gathered in this study may be used by WOMEN’S WAY and published and/or disclosed by WOMEN’S WAY to others outside of WOMEN’S WAY. However, any personal identifiers that you provide, such as your name, will not be mentioned in any such publication or dissemination of the research data and/or results. For full details, please read the participation agreement on the first page of the survey. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact: Carla L. Learn more at http://www.komenphiladelphia.org/. Hello.
My name is Tammy Forstater and I am the Outreach Coordinator for HOSTS for HOSPITALS (HfH), a non-profit agency providing free lodging in private homes for patients and their families coming to Greater Philadelphia for specialized medical care. (www.hostsforhospitals.org). For the next 3-4 months we will be receiving lodging requests for patient-families coming from China for children to receive treatment at the Wills Eye Intitute in Center City. We are lodging one such family now. We have a second family from the Hulyun Way Tiehe District that will be arriving on May 27. We expect to receive a half-dozen more such requests. As we may not be able to arrange lodging for all of these families from our existing host-network, we would like to work with you to make members of the Philadelphia Asian community aware of this need. In particular, the family to be arriving May 27 second consists of a 3 1/2 year old girl and her 40 year old father. They do not speak English and will not have a car. We were hoping you might be able to help us find free lodging for this family. The way our program works is that the hosts provide all of the sheets, towels, blankets, etc. The guest-families are responsible for their own food, personal toiletries and transportation. The guests will have funds for their own food and transportation. Please therefore call or email me back at your earliest convenience. I in turn will call youTuesday if we have not heard back from you before then. In the meantime, thank you so much for your time in considering this matter.
